Hello, Wednesday. I have to acknowledge you, because I have missed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. What is with me??? I cant think of anything earth shattering to write about. You know...like all that other earth shattering stuff I have written about. Snicker!!
Well, I started my "friend" and once again, I was disappointed. Like surprise!!! You're not pregnant. Gee, you think?? Will I ever get past this???
On to other news...I am starting AGAIN on my children's scrapbooks. I take a million pictures a day it seems, and I am making each child their own personalized scrapbook or scrapbooks as it seems to be with the oldest two. I get pictures, stickers, rubber stamps and markers/glitter pens/etc to make it completely their own book. Some photos are hard to figure out whose book I am going to put it in, because there are multiple children in them. I thought this whole scrapbook was a GREAT idea, except one day it hit me. They are going to want to take them when they leave home......and that is all the pictures I have of that child. They CAN'T take them!!! I wont be able to look back at them, and what if they lose them??? What a quandry!! So, I guess they can look through them when they come over to visit, but they dont get them until I die. Is this fair??? :)
Wish me continued happiness with these things. I am so far behind, but I am not starting from zero, so I am doing better than some people I know. Its just a never ending job, and when you're behind, it's easy to burn out.

Well, I guess we're not long lost twins after all.
Scrapbooks, Blech.
I tried scrapbooking, and I tried to like it, really I did, but I just can't like it.
I inherited messy rubbermaid tubs full of pictures, and I think I'll just continue that tradtion. ;-)
I always think, maybe someday I will buy albums to stuff them all in, to make them all nice and neat, but scrapbooking? no way.
It's actually really fun to dig through boxes of random pictures, although not so good for the pictures, I'm sure.
I do wish you continued happiness with your scrapbooking adventure. . . :-)
Ok,well we are done for then! No more twin comments from me anymore!!! :)
Why dont you like to scrapbook? Do you keep baby books?
yes, the constant rubbing around on the photos are not good for them. At least get an album to stick them in.
Oh, and I am not as bad as most people with their scrapbooks. I dont have foo foo paper, and vellum and all that jazz. I just have 8x11 cardstock and pics and stickers. I put them in notebooks. Much cheaper...
Hope you know I was teasing you on the first comment. :-)
Yes, I need to get some albums to keep all the pictures protected.
And, no I don't keep baby books. I kept a baby album for my first child, and it goes to about two months after she was born. Hey, they are lucky to even have pictures after #2 was born. LOL.
How would I not know you were teasing....it's what we do. Baby books are hard. I dont have them either. Thats why I have scrapbooks.I dont have many pics of me at all when I was a kid...its sad.
Well, I admire you for doing this for your kids! It's funny...I've wanted so badly to have the time, energy, and creativity to scrapbook for the babies. Our adoptive social worker suggested that I make scrapbooks to hold everything about their adoptions, including pictures of the judge, court documents, etc. I think it's SUCH a great idea...but I can't seem to get my act together! How do you find the time? Better yet, how would you suggest that I get started on such a project?
well, it just takes constant effort, or you will fall behind like I did. I just devote a few hours here and there, and they just come together. I will do it for a week or two and then give myself a break. Like I said, I am not a "high tech" scrapper, like some people I have seen. They are as expensive or as cheap as you want to make them. My kids pour through each others and their own all the time, so I know they love them...cheap or not. :)
I buy cardstock (i buy white but there are colored ones), and page protectors (I stocked up when hobby lobby had a 1/2 price sale). And a large notebook from wal-mart. There are a huge array of scrapbooks you can buy with paper already in them if you choose. You can use acid free glue stick, or stickies for the pictures and other papers and voila...The sky is the limit. I have a rather large collection of stickers and rubber stamps. And glitter pens, and markers. You want to make sure everything is acid free.
Thanks, Holly! I'm going to try to find time to go shopping for materials this weekend... :-)
