or bling bling like her therapist calls them. She loooves her beads. I mean, loves. They motivate her to crawl, reach, sit...you name it. I don't know what it is that appeals to her, but ever since we found this out, we look like we are stocking up for mardi gras. So, if you ever hit a clearance sale of beads, hook us up. She has broken several of them, and while you would think they are dangerous to let a little baby play with, she only does so under supervision. Also, it is a long string of attached beads, so they don't break into little balls. So, whatever motivates her, huh?

Adorable baby!
It's exciting that something gets Rachel interested! I remember that it took SO long for Emma to start playing with toys or any objects for that matter. She would try to use her feet occasionally but now she's using her hands and can actually hold lightweight toys.
See, both of our little girls are awesome!!!
Using ones feet is a good skill actually. I have seen videos and such of people who have no arms using feet, and boy let me tell you....they are better at some things than most people with arms are. This one guy, I forget his name, actually has no arms or legs (except a tiny little flipper like appendage) and he can toss a phone up and catch it with his shoulder. Its awesome how one can improvise.
Where are you guys on surgery for Emma? Wasn't that going to be an option for her?
Emma is scheduled for surgery on both arms in June 2009. In Baltimore! We will be out there for about 6 weeks.
