A little query for you

Is this bad for her? She likes to chew on the bars, and as much as I try to move her and her attention elsewhere, this is where she lands again sometimes. I took the bumper out because she wants to see around her...so hmm? Any ideas on other cribs?

Hmm, I doubt the paint/sealer is good for her to ingest.

I don't have enough experience with different types of cribs to give suggestions. :-( Ours were either in bed with us, or in a crib like yours.

Sand the bars down to bare wood so they would be safe? That would be a good job for your energetic boys. :-)

Well, to be honest, I don't know if she actually CHEWS on the bars, but she does mouth them alot. She might chew though, so I should worry somewhat. She doesn't respond to direction like a normal baby would though, so if she wants to do it, she will just keep doing it.

And sand down every bar??? Wow! That would be quite the task....I would rather almost buy a new one. I can just see the whole thing breaking trying to take off each bar to sand. Not to mention the dust from it. Whew!

Matthew used to chew on the top rails of his crib, so we bought these soft rubbery strips to stick on top. Maybe they make something similar for the bars?

I just want to put up her bumper again, but it would make her mad. I have seen cribs with the flat bars that are wider than her mouth. Maybe I should get one of those??

My other kiddos never even stayed in the crib very long. This is just another one of those things that I have to stop and ponder now.
