Why am I angry? Well, originally when this happened, his vision was double and his eye was all wonky. They did a CT scan, and told us he fractured it and the muscle was trapped. Sent us to an MD eye doctor. He then transferred us to the ear, nose and throat doctor....not quite sure about that one, but whatever. He kept seeing "improvements" in Aaron's eye movements, so we kept being told to wait. The kicker was the Thursday of last week. He was about to discharge us and call it a day, saying he had much improvement and all looked great. I looked at him incredulous, and said, "are you seeing what I am seeing??" I had Aaron look straight at me, and told him to lift his eyes. This is what we saw. It was crazy, but I think because the doc was having him lift his head, it looked like improvement, but when his head was straight, it was so obvious. He immediately was on the phone with the plastic surgeon.

This is now, 3 days after surgery. Not a whole boatload of difference, huh?
Did we waste precious time waiting around for this doctor? Did the time cause his problem to be worse, or was it there from the get go? There was no scar tissue according to the surgeon, so his take is that the muscle was damaged, thus the surgery in the future. Is it really appropriate to wait that long for that proceedure? Is my son going to see double vision for the rest of his life due to some doctors error?

That doctor sounds like an idiot! But I'm familiar with the scenario of having to point out the obvious to medical personnel!
Holly, I'm so sorry that Aaron is still having problems and may face more surgery. But I'm continuing to pray that he will experience complete healing! The Lord is in control.
(((hugs)))
JoAnn
P.S. I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!
Oh, Holly, I am so sorry this has happened. I am sorry I have not been around a lot lately (time off the computer) and had no idea.
Aaron will be in my prayers. I can understand why you are so frustrated. What a ding dong doc.
May you have a blessed and Happy New Year,
Julie
