Garage sale a success!
We raised a bunch of money for this trip, but have a lot to go. We will be having another sale in the near future, and am contemplating sending out letters to people we know. It seems so strange to do this, but if everyone we knew donated only 20.00 or so, we could easily cover all this expense, and we could go without worry. Should I ask? Hmmm. Michelle brought up a donation button from paypal, which I have up, but am uneasy about opening my blog up to the public. Is there any incriminating evidence on here that would show I am a bad mommy or something LOL! What say you, JoAnn?

Hi Holly, just saw this post! Sorry for the delay in my response!!
You don't have anything to worry about regarding making your blog public....LOL!
The only thing I've done on my public blogs is to make the commenting moderated, that way if someone finds one of my blogs and is in a mood to say something mean, I can reject the comment.
You know, that's a great idea...putting up a donation button. How did you do that? I might want to do that to ask for donations for our travel expenses and the medical expenses for Emma's arm surgery.
How are you all doing? How is your little guy's eye?? You haven't posted on that in a while....and how is Miss Rachel doing?
Hope to hear more in the future...
JoAnn
Hey, Joann...just wanted to say I do appreciate your comment, and will respond very soon. Just didn't want you to think that I am ignoring you. Love ya!
HOLLY
Hey Joann...sorry about that. I read things, and then don't post back right away and then I forget. Procrastination never pays off, huh?
About the paypal donation button...you just go to paypal.com and there is a link somewhere to make a donation button. You have to already have an account set up...not sure exactly where to find it, but if you need me to do that, I will.
Aarons eye is still messed up, but the eye doc sees improvement and is content to leave it where it is. some days it really bothers me, and other days I believe he is the expert..what do i know? Basically, they are still off kilter from each other, and the only way to fix it would be to mess up the good eye. For some reason they can't fix the broken nerves? I dont really know. He sees fine unless he looks up too high, then it goes double.
Thanks for asking about him. I am glad to have a good friend worry about my kiddos like I do! Let me know if you need help with the paypal thing. It is a good way to get money if you have the right kind of traffic to your blog. I will probably never get any money because no one comes here yet. LOL.
Holly, I'm sorry to hear that they haven't figured out a way to fix Aaron's eye, but SO glad that he's seeing better! I remember at first he was seeing double all the time! I'll keep him in prayer.
If your blog is public now I can link to it from Emma's site. That might get you some traffic. Emma seems to have a fan club of sorts.
You might consider putting some more details about Rachel's medical conditions on the site in a prominent place so that people understand what you're dealing with and why it's important for you to get to the convention to talk to the doctor.
Thanks for the info on the Paypal donation thing....I do have a Paypal account, but hardly ever use it. I'll look into it.
Love ya!
JoAnn
P.S. Happy Mother's Day!!!! :)
