Hugs all around

I was just thinking how it's so nice that even my no. 1 son (13 yrs.) has no qualms about hugging his old man. I hope that all my children grow up with no problems about showing their affections as so many men do these days. I'm not talking like effeminite (?SP) affection, but just a hug to their father and mother or sons and daughters and a hearty, meaningful "I Love You".

Need to get A NEW shape.....

I already have a shape so I don't need to get in shape, I just need to change shapes. d:{)>
I was out playing basketball in the driveway with No.'s 1 & 3 sons. and got beat 10 - 11. That's not the important part here. No. 3 son is 7 years old and was a LOT less winded than I was. I'm only 35 and you'd think I would be in decent shape. I didn't do alot of sports in school back in the day but I did exercise. Since I've been playing softball with the church and some basketball with the son I think I've realized I need to get back into exercising and finally get that MANLY figure I've always been wanting. d:{D>
Anyway, my goal is to play to 11 with my son and not fall over from lack of oxygen. Also I'd like to make it around the softball bases the same way. Maybe I could even make it to second base on my hit by being able to run faster... I don't know. Just wishful thinking probably.

IT's A........... BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just returned from an ultrasound and our latest baby is going to be a girl. I titled the post the way I did though because it's never really been an issue with us. Pretty soon I expect the "Oh, so you're going to stop now that you FINALLY got another girl" comments to begin. After having 4 boys in a row it's gonna be pretty hard to get used to the idea of a girl though. It's good we found out now though, as we can start preparing by hitting the stores and sales for plenty of girl stuff. There's still winter girl stuff hanging around that'll work since she's due in Nov.

4 yr. old Revelations

Today, my 4 yr. old son had a wonderful revelation. Ma and he always have wonderful little "I Love You More Than.... " discussions. Usually it's cartoon characters, or food, etc... Today though 4yr.son decided to change the whole thing. He compared his Love to ma with money. He Loves MA more than ...... get this...... .39¢!!!!!!! This was SOOO cute. My wife is worth more to me than all the money in the world. Maybe 4yr will soon think that also. :-)

FIRST POST

This is SOOOO exciting..... well, really it's not. Mainly because I just wanted to come in here and talk about how EXCITING being a parent is to me. THIS is the blog of a dad of 6 (soon 7) children, talking about the wonders of his little blessings. Something I don't see alot of around the internet. I figured that us dads who ENJOY having children should have a voice out there.

Enjoy! :-)
